Gas prices continue to rise
Npower to raise energy prices by 5.3%

LED lights isn’t a new topic but it still amazes us how many businesses we visit who still have old-fashioned fluorescent tubes. Businesses without LED Lights are overpaying by as much as 80% on their electricity costs.

And if this doesn’t kick you into action, there are plenty of finance packages which can help you in funding the right solution for your business.

So, let’s get right into the benefits of LED Lights for your business:

70%+ Energy Savings
It’s no secret that electricity prices have increased considerably over the years. In fact, since 2001 electricity prices have risen on average 11% per annum and it’s not predicted to stop anytime soon.

Ensuring you are buying at the cheapest rate isn’t enough anymore. You need to look at where you are using your energy and investing in new technology which can reduce your consumption.

LED Lights are a perfect solution for any business wanting to reduce their energy spend. LED lights are up to 80% more efficient than traditional lighting such as fluorescent and incandescent lights.

95% of the energy in LEDs is converted into light and only 5% is wasted as heat. This is compared to fluorescent lights which convert 95% of energy to heat and only 5% into light! They also draw much less power than traditional lighting; a typical 84 watt fluorescent can be replaced by a 36 watt LED to give the same level of light. No brainer, right?

No Toxic (UV and Mercury free)
If your business is still using fluorescent strip lights, they often contain noxious chemicals used as mercury. These lights contaminate the environment when disposed of in landfill waste. No to mention, disposal has to be arranged through a registered waste carrier so switching to LED lights avoids the cost and time implications required for compliant disposal.

One of the great things about LED lights is that they contain no chemicals so it’s better for the environment.

Improved Light
LEDs lights have a better quality of light distribution and focus light in one direction as opposed to other types of lighting which waste energy by emitting light in all directions, often illuminating areas where light isn’t required (such as the ceiling).

This means that less LED lights are needed to achieve the same level of brightness given off by fluorescents and incandescent lights. Fewer lights will reduce energy consumption and will therefore be a benefit to the environment.

LED Lights last longer
A longer lifespan means lower carbon emissions. LED Lights last up to six times longer than other types of lights, reducing the requirement for frequent replacements. This results in using fewer lights and hence fewer resources are needed for manufacturing processes, packaging materials and transportation.

We can put together a comprehensive energy report and usage forecast, which will allow us to work out the viability of your energy saving project and demonstrate just how much you could be saving by making the switch to a new LED lighting system.
